Course 1

Certificate in Counselling, Psychology & Therapy

Course 2

Diploma in Counselling, Psychology & Therapy

Commencing Spring 2001

All courses are taught through the medium of the Enlish Language and are open to residents of Ireland, Britain and other E.U Member States.

The distance learning course, designed and commenced in 1995, is the first of its kind and has participants from every county in Ireland, and throughout the U.K. and Europe. The course is validated by ACCEPT Counselling Association of Ireland - Ireland's major commumity counselling organisation whose tutors monitor and assess student's progress from our centre in Dublin. There is no travel involved. With so many people interested in the whole field of counselling and therapy we decided to develop the distance learning educational course. Some people are unable to travel to courses whilst others would prefer the option to learn about counselling psychology from the confort and convenience of their home. Having a personal tutor to monitor your progress though the course is an added incentive to maintain motivation and commitment. The course is complete in itself. There is no need for you to buy additional books or other reading material unless you particularly want to. The entire course can be completed from your home or workplace and a free study guide will enable you to structure your study and facilitate your overall learning.

We are sure you will find the courses stinnulating, insightful and thought provoking. The course is designed for those who find it of interest or of value, irrespective of their previous knowledge or experience. It is presented in plain jargon-free language with glossaries and explanations provided. In addition to being of general interest to members of the public, the course is a useful introduction for those considering training as counsellors in the future, whilst also serving as a "refresher" course for existing counsellors, psycologists and psychotherapists. Applicants are advised that the course is theory based - it is not a training programme, nor a sustitute for practical counselling and supervision.

the cost of the sourse is £440 per year payable by two installments, or with a single payment of £440. For those wishing to pay by two installments an initial payment of £220 is requested with the completed application for modules 1 & 2 and a final instalment of £220 payable in September 2001 towards Modules 3 &4.

We look forward to receiving your completed application form after you have carefully read and understood the Course content, course structure and application procedure. Due to limited availabilty early application is strongly advised. Soon after we have received your course fee with completed application, a place will be reserved for you and your first reading pack, related course assignments, and a receipt will be posted to you.
