Accept is the major community counselling, education and training organisation in Ireland. We are committed to the systematic education of counsellors in the work-place, in the community and in voluntary organisations. To date, people on our courses have included teachers, nurses, social workers, community workers, welfare personnel, voluntary counsellors, help-line counsellors, psychologists, home-makers, solicitors, religious, police, medical workers, business and personnel managers, doctors, alternative practitioners etc... . With the experience of training so many people in the caring/helping professions and voluntary agencies, ACCEPT is in a unique position to offer the public a home study course in the theory of counselling, psychology and therapy.
